Saturday at Pine Creek was a busy day and I’m behind on the blog…so I’m giving the non-wordy, photo heavy version.
Molly started the day here:
Mom and I went for a canoe ride while the kids played with Dad in the creek. So peaceful…
Dad used his net to catch the the fish that kept peeking out from under the rock near the edge of the water.
The kids fished…
while Molly sat on the rock.
Megan caught a fish.
A big one. Eighteen inches, two pounds, catfish. She was very proud.
Later in the day, the rest of us tried to catch the fish under the rock…to no avail. Oh well…we had fun trying.
More Molly & Nana:
Everyone tried out the kayak…Molly went with Dad.
Megan tried it all by herself – she did pretty well and had a blast!
What better way to end a great afternoon than a snack in the hammock?
Megan had a big day. I was so proud of her reeling in that fish – she did a great job. I was also proud of her for trying out the kayak – my little girl is growing up into a brave, adventurous soul. I hope she never gives up on that adventurous spirit – it will serve her well in life!
