I got a haircut on Thursday after work. My hair has been growing for a long, long time and was getting a bit out of control. I was ready for a change…a big change. I had more than enough to donate to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program. They make and give wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. I will be mailing in my donation this week – I hope it is able to help make some woman a beautiful wig.
I am still getting used to the new hair – it requires more styling than my long hair did. That was very much a wash and go style (even though it took forever to dry.) The new one…not so much. I spent 15 minutes on Friday trying to figure out how to do it with just the hairdryer and round brush – it looked like a mushroom. Saturday I tried the wash & go thing – simply applying mousse and scrunching it. It looked like I had bed head…and not in a good way. This morning, I worked on it with the hair dryer, round brush and my flat iron. It’s much better, but will take some getting used to.
