Wow, my baby girl is FIVE. That seems so big, so old, so…not a baby anymore. She really is growing up so fast, seems like just yesterday she was a baby. I keep telling her no matter what, she’ll always be my “baby”. As she gets older, she’s not so keen on being called that, so please don’t tell her 🙂
We had a great time celebrating her birthday. On her birthday morning, she opened her gifts from the family. Megan had helped me wrap them up so she was in on the secrets. She was very proud of herself for not giving any of them away…so was I!
Molly had a great time opening them all, but I think it’s clear which was her favorite. She had received a Bitty Baby for Christmas, and she has been wanting another one for several months. No matter what other toy I suggested, she always came back to wanting another Bitty Baby…so that’s what we got her!
On the Sunday after her birthday (Halloween, coincidentally) Molly had her very first “friends” birthday party. It was held at Paulus Orchards – one of our favorite places to go in the fall. Molly and her friends had a blast playing on the slides, in the play house and finding their way through the corn maze. We also went on a wagon ride, and of course, had cake and more presents!
She had so much anticipation for this day, I hope that she enjoyed herself. I’m guessing she did, tremendously, because she is already asking how long till her next birthday. I’m enjoying every moment of her growing up and wish time would slow down a bit so I can savor the moments just a bit longer.
P.S. I decided to try some photo collages to allow more photos in one post. If you want to see bigger pictures, the set is here on Flickr.
