Here we are looking at Ben Franklin&#8217;s grave.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Peace?\" href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5308\/5644663933_f8396257a5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5308\/5644663933_f8396257a5.jpg\" alt=\"Peace?\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Barry\" href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5023\/5644664201_ee9dc5a3ef.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5023\/5644664201_ee9dc5a3ef.jpg\" alt=\"Barry\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We rested by this statue in Independence Square.\u00a0 Apparently his name is Barry&#8230;that&#8217;s all it said on the base of his statue.\u00a0 The girls were amused by that.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"George Washington\" href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5228\/5644664593_44537cc218.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5228\/5644664593_44537cc218.jpg\" alt=\"George Washington\" \/><\/a> <a title=\"Eternal Flame\" href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5181\/5644664499_f7b3858113.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5181\/5644664499_f7b3858113.jpg\" alt=\"Eternal Flame\" width=\"333\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We also visited Washington Square which has a memorial to the unknown soldiers of the Revolutionary War and an eternal flame in their honor.\u00a0 Megan was impressed by the number of soldiers who had died and were buried in that small space in the war for our Independence.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Looking at the plaque &amp; monument\" href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5067\/5645229906_6262253b56.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5067\/5645229906_6262253b56.jpg\" alt=\"Looking at the plaque &amp; monument\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had a great trip and visit to his historical city.\u00a0 The girls enjoyed their first train ride and even though they were tired from all the walking, we all enjoyed being out exploring a new place together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We took a train to Philadelphia on one day of our staycation last week, to visit the U Penn Museum of Archeology where they have an exhibit about ancient Egypt and mummies.
