{"id":503,"date":"2010-09-27T19:55:30","date_gmt":"2010-09-27T23:55:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/twosixteen.com\/christie\/?p=503"},"modified":"2010-11-06T10:57:01","modified_gmt":"2010-11-06T14:57:01","slug":"alpacas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/twosixteen.com\/christie\/2010\/09\/27\/alpacas\/","title":{"rendered":"Alpacas!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For my birthday, we visited my parents so my mom and I could celebrate our birthdays together.\u00a0 On Saturday afternoon, we went to get manicures and then that evening, we got all &#8220;fancy&#8221; and went out to dinner at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flannerystavernonthesquare.com\">Flannery&#8217;s in Mercersburg<\/a>.\u00a0 It was a wonderful meal and we all enjoyed dinner and dessert quite a lot.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, we went to an open house at the Long Acres Alpaca Farm.\u00a0 We learned about how the wool is spun into yarn and also got to see a few new baby alpacas &#8211; they were so cute.\u00a0 Their mamas were very protective, so we couldn&#8217;t get close enough to take good photos of them.\u00a0 They also had a fashion show featuring clothing made from alpaca yarn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"Collage\" href=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4104\/5150785761_86c6b68a10.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4104\/5150785761_86c6b68a10.jpg\" alt=\"Collage\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For my birthday, we visited my parents so my mom and I could celebrate our birthdays together.
