Sweet! Thanks! Just curious, but do you think if you popped one of the reflectors out, a toe clip would fit there? I think the fixie needs some sort of retention.

The rings are original to the cranks. The ancient 105 FD won't shift the chain onto the 28, so it's a 44/48 up front. I have a regular road crank on the way, so the "bio" part is not long for this world.

The rest of the bike, if you're bored stiff. Wald North Road bars, a VO stem, Shimano Alivio brake levers, RX100 (shifters, RD, calipers), 600 hubs laced to Performance rims, SRAM 12-26, KMC chain, CST Compressor 25mm tires, Ritchey grips, a generic seat post, and a WTB "Test Ride" saddle. The whole thing was intended to be a bit of a gag, but it's surprisingly comfy. I may just keep it the way it is.

Plastic-pedaled Pacer path racer! Perfection!

(Please tell me you used those chainrings just for the "Bio-Pacer" gag. Because I know I would have.)

I am perfectly happy with the built-in squish of the 4" tires on my Mukluk. But, then again, I am perfectly happy with the built-in squish of any tires, on bicycles, and no longer ride with the extra weight of suspension components. That's one of the advantages of being a slow mountain biker: You can ride a simpler, lighter bike.

Re-reading divining info for the next S24O after our outing this past Saturday. The sleeping pad perspective couldn't be more dead-on in every way. I used a cheapie foam pad on the bottom and then a Thermarest Z-lite. Not enough. I'll take the extra weight for something I can manage. Interminable rolls from 3.00am on are no good.
